The example shown above is a significant illustration of an early example of FHE from study participant T-Ink.
Note the packaging space reduction from 2.75 inches to less than half an inch, the obvious weight reduction, but also reduction of connectors by 16 to 1. In addition, the physical appearance of the front surface could be changed or customized at very low incremental cost. This would allow designers to refresh the interior of the vehicle throughout the model year, or by season, or for ‘team colors’, etc. Alternatively, a base model might have a plain color, middle model might have a carbon-fiber appearance, and the high end might feature imitation wood grain. IQM has a very clear picture of what is possible for this and other applications.
